Road Trip!!!

Don't miss Road Trip as we're headed to The Edge laser tag in St. Louis. Cost will be $15.00 for 3 games of laser tag, pizza, and all you can drink soda!! After some intense laser tag, we'll head to Fairview Heights, Illinois to go to St. Clair Square mall where you can use your Christmas money and gift cards. We will leave around 7:30 on Saturday, January 15th and get back around 11:00 PM saturday. Stay tuned for more details, and be sure not to miss this awesome event!!

New Years Eve Party!!

Come join us to ring in 2011. We will be meeting at the church at 8:00 for snacks and to hang out, and then we will head to Empire Roller Rink at 8:45 for some skating. Cost is $5.00, and we will skate until 11:00 then head back to church for the communion service starting at 11:30. Skating should be fun with lots of good Christian music, and time to hang out with friends!!! See you all there!!

Youth Christmas Party

The youth Christmas party will be on Thursday December 23, 2010 at the church starting at 6:00. We will be having a taco bar with lots of good food provided for dinner. Please bring a 2 liter bottle of soda and/or treats to share with everyone. We are also going to do a $5.00 gift exchange, so don't forget to bring a non-gender gift! We will also be playing games that Charlie and Corey come up with, so you don't want to miss out! Invite friends and get ready to enjoy time with each other. Also bring kid shoes that will be donataed to Rainbow House (any size, boy or girl. Or you could bring a wal-mart gift card which will be donated to the Rainbow House. Great Leaf Pile 2010!

We are having our Great Leaf Pile 2010 on Saturday December 4, 2010. Meet at Midway Heights Baptist Church at 12:30 bringing your friends, rakes, and dress warm as the weather might be chilly. We will break up into groups to go rake leaves at different houses, and then we will make our way with all of the leaves to the Price's House around 4:30. There we will have dinner, make a huge leaf pile that we can all jump in. We will return to the church by 8:00. We look forward to seeing you all there!!

Galactic Fun Zone!!

We're headed to Galactic Fun Zone to celebrate selling $1,000 in raffle tickets for our Fish Fry! We will go on Friday, November 12th. Meet at the church at 1:00 and we will be back at 5:00. Bring money for laser tag games (about $5 for each game), snacks, and whatever else you'd like to do. Come join in on the fun, and invite friends too!!

World Changers

The first World Changers meeting is October 24th at 6:00 pm!!! And the World Changers are heading to Springfield, IL June 20th-25th, 2011. There is a $60 deposit. If you're interested in participating, talk to Josh!!

Purity Retreat

On October 22-23 we are having a purity retreat. We will be going over some pretty deep stuff, so we will have a parent meeting on Sunday, October 10th at 7:00. Parents are encouraged to come, particularly parents of middle/junior high students. We will meet at the church on the 22nd at 6:30 pm, and pick up will be at church at 11:00 on Saturday.

Halloween 2010!!

Come join us at MHBC for a Halloween celebration. October 31st, which is a Sunday we are going to be meeting at 6:00 to play games and eat lots of good treats! Get ready to have a great time, and invite your friends!

MHBC Annual Fish Fry

September 18th is the Fish and Chicken Fry at church. So it's time to volunteer for kids' games, start selling raffle tickets, and get together an awesome basket to donate to the Silent Auction. Mark your calendars and start thinking of ideas for what type of basket we should put together!

Fall Kickoff

Get ready for some fun as the summer comes to a close and a new school year begins. On August 20th at 7:00 PM we are getting together at the church. There will be lots of fun games and as always lots of good food. Invite your friends, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone there!

The Edge at Windermere

We are heading to The Edge at Camp Windermere on Friday August 6th at 6:00 from the church. We will stop for dinner on the way down so make sure to bring a little money for that. We will get there and have a devotion time and just get ready to have an all around awesome time! Saturday we will do low ropes, high ropes, and have some free time. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner for Saturday is provided. Cost is $30 and you might want to bring some extra for ice cream or other goodies. We will be home between 11:00 PM and midnight on Saturday.

Vacation Bible School!

Vacation Bible School is July 19th through July 23rd. Those who just finished 8th grade and younger can attend! VBS is always a fun time, and those who are to old to attend can volunteer to help!

Camp Nowhere

Come join us for Camp Nowhere on July 16th and 17th!! We will be meeting at the church at 6:00 PM and heading to the Wulff's at 6:30 PM. Our time will be filled with games, crafts, fishing, swimming, campfire, lots of good food, and most importantly a devotion and bible study. The cost is only $5.00 for the t-shirt. Camp Nowhere will be over after lunch about 12:30 PM. Invite your friends and be prepared to have a good time!!!

World Changers Mission Trip!

This year the missions team is going to West Memphis, Arkansas from June 21st through the 26th. Come the Sunday after to hear about their week!!

Sunday Night Cookout

On Sunday, May 16th we are going to get together for a cookout and games instead of having a regular youth night. Mark your calendars and invite your friends!!! Plan on getting there at 6:00 instead of 7:00, so we can start the fun off a little early!!

City Wide Missions Event!!

On April 17th, we will be teaming with several churches around the community for a day of missions. This will be a lot like World Changers for those of you who are familiar with that. This is a free event, but deadline to sign up is March 21st. We will need to meet at 7:15 at the church on the day of the event, and will return back to the church between 7:30 and 8:00. Don't worry about food...lunch and dinner will be provided.

Young Christians Weekend 2010

Young Christians Weekend is March 26th-March 28th this year. We are going to be staying in condos instead of hotels this time, so we will have more room to hang out. Deadline to sign up is March 7th, and cost is $60. Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning will be provided along with dinner on Saturday, so be sure to bring extra money for food, snacks, and anything else you might want. We are going to try to leave around 5:30 on the 26th, and will return on the 28th at 4:00. This is an awesome event, so be sure to sign up and invite your friends!!

Service and Snow

Get excited!!!!!! Again this year on February 13th we are headed to Kansas City for a day of service and snow. We will get to Kansas City around 10:00 or 10:30, and will be helping a local church out. Later that day we will head to the park and spend a few hours tubing. Be sure to sign up and invite friends! More details will follow!

Super Bowl Watch Party

We are heading to the Scott's house to watch the Super Bowl on February 7th. Meet us at the church at 5:00 or you can head to their house in time for kick-off. We will return to the church after the game is over. This year we are asking everyone to bring non-perishable food for the Food Bank, and think of things that you guys would like to eat!!! Bring as much as you want or can. Since we are bringing food for the Food Bank you don't have to worry about bringing drinks and food for the party, but if you want to you are more than welcome to. Guys bring a 2 liter bottle of soda and girls bring some type of snack food and we will provide the rest. Invite your friends to come and have a great time together!!

Road Trip

Our yearly road trip will be on January 16th, so save your Christmas money. We will be going to St. Louis for a day of shopping, and trampoline dodgeball at SkyZone! We will be meeting at the church at 7:00, and will be back around 11:00 that night. Bring money for shopping and 3 meals. Here is a link for a waiver for SkyZone that needs to be filled out and signed by your parents if you are under the age of 18 for you to participate at SkyZone. Invite your friends to this awesome event!! It would be a good idea to bring a change of clothes because we will be getting a workout!! After SkyZone we will head to Chesterfield mall for some shopping.

New Year's Eve Watch Night

There will not be a watch night party on New Year's Eve, but we will have a watch night service at 11:30 pm. Hope to see you all there to ring in the new year!

Candles and Carols

Wednesday, December 23rd is Candles & Carols. This is a great night with lots of singing and remembering what Christmas is really about!!

St. Francis House

On Wednesday, December 16th we are going to the St. Francis House. Bring warm clothes or travel sized toiletries to church by December 13th, and plan to come along and bring finger food to share the 16th.

Christmas Party!!!

Get ready for our annual youth Christmas party on Friday, December 18th at 7:00 pm. It will be at the Hart's house. It will be a fun night with games, presents, and good food!! Bring a gift that costs $5.00 or less to exchange with either a boy or a girl. Also bring a pillow or mattress pad that we will be donating to Rainbow House. This will be a fun night, so we look forward to seeing you. Meet at the church at 6:30, or you can meet us at the Hart's. We will be back at the church around 9:15 pm!

Leaf Pile Update!!!

If you guys have any extra rakes, bring them along if you can!!!!!! It is supposed to be beautiful weather tomorrow......sunny and a high of around 70 degrees. Come ready to work and have some fun!

Leaf Pile 2009!!!!!!!

We did this event last year, and it was a ton of fun so lets make it even better this year! We are going to be meeting at the church at 12:30 to break into groups to go and rake leaves at several houses until dark. Make sure to eat lunch before coming as we will not have food for lunch! After raking leaves, we are going to head over to the Price's house to jump in the huge leaf pile. We are also going to have dinner out there with hot dogs, chili, hot cider, s'mores along with other goodies. We will be back at the church no later than 8:00 PM. This is going to be a fun event while also helping out people from our church and community!! Be sure to sign up if you are coming and hope to see everyone there!!

Campfire Night!

We will be having our normal worship service outside under the shelter on Sunday, October 25th. Dress appropriately for the cool weather. We will be roasting s'mores, and enjoy the fall weather!

All Church Hayride!!!!

On Friday, October 23 at 6:00 PM there will be a hayride at Kent and Janet Wulff's house. The entire church is invited, and there will be a bonfire, hayride, and plenty of good food to eat! It will be a fun event, so don't miss it!!

Trip to St.Louis

On October 3rd, we will be heading to St.Louis for a day of fun...if you sell $1000 in raffle tickets for the fish fry. So start selling now, and you guys will get to pick whatever it is you want to do while in St.Louis!

Apple Picking

We are going to be apple picking at Huffstutter's for the Central MO Food Bank on Sunday, September 27th. We will be leaving the church around 1:00 PM, so bring a sack lunch and we will be returning to the church around 4:00. This will be a fun event, and it is also for a great cause. There is also a World Changers Meeting at 6:00 that night for those involved in World Changers. Youth is at the usual time. Hope to see you all there!

5th Quarter Lock-In

The Providence Bowl is on Thursday, September 24th this year. Since there is no school Friday we are still planning on having the 5th Quarter Lock-In after the game. Invite your friends. You can meet us at the church before the game and we can all ride together or you can just meet us at the church afterwards.
More information will be coming at a later date!

Fish Fry!!

Mark your calendars for the annual MHBC Fish Fry on September 19th! There will be lots of good food, games, and really cool silent auction items to bid on! We will be selling raffle tickets. Make sure to invite your friends, and to sign up to work a shift at the kids' games!

Fall Kickoff

Fall Kickoff this year is on Friday, August 28th. We are celebrating the end of summer and getting ready to start another school year! It will be held at Cosmo Park from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. There will be games and food. Wear older clothes since the games might get a little messy!! Make sure to invite your friends as we will have a great time!

Float Trip!!!!!

Float trip this year is August 7th through the 8th. We will be leaving the church at 6:00 PM on the 7th and will be home early evening on Saturday the 8th. Cost is just $20. Snacks Friday night, breakfast, and lunch will be provided. So sign up now and get ready to have a blast!

Camp Nowhere

Camp Nowhere starts Friday June 19th at 6:00 PM and runs until Saturday June 20th at 12:30 PM. Come join us at the church for a weekend of games, slip'n slides, worship, crafts, food, and fun. Cost is $5 and that includes meals, fun and a t-shirt. Don't forget to sign up!

Concert Road Trip

On Friday June 12th we are heading to the Crossover Festival in Camdenton, MO. We are leaving from the church at 5:15. There are many concerts and we are going to see KJ-52 perform around 7:45. Josh is going, so whoever would like to tag along the cost is $10. Sign up if you would like to go, and we will be returning late Friday night.

Summer Kick-Off!

June 7th we are going across the street to Locust Grove Church to hang out with the youth group over there. We will be playing volleyball, eating, and just hanging out. We will be leaving our church at 5:45 to head over there or you could just meet at Locust Grove at 6:00. All you need to bring is yourself, and get ready to have an awesome time!
