Summer Kick-Off!

June 7th we are going across the street to Locust Grove Church to hang out with the youth group over there. We will be playing volleyball, eating, and just hanging out. We will be leaving our church at 5:45 to head over there or you could just meet at Locust Grove at 6:00. All you need to bring is yourself, and get ready to have an awesome time!

Youth Sunday Wrap Party

We are meeting at the church from 6:00-8:30 on Sunday for youth to have some fun with games, hanging out, and of course there will be food! If everyone could bring a snack like chips, cookies, etc. that would be great. Other than that we have everything taken care of! See you guys then; it will be a lot of fun!

Young Christian Weekend Update

We will not be going to Young Christians Weekend. The weather looks like it isn't going to cooperate on Saturday as they are calling for cold and rain/snow. Money will be refunded!

Weather Update

It looks like the forecast for Saturday in Branson has changed. As of right now they are calling for rain and a high of 43 degrees. So make sure and bring warm clothes along and rain gear might not be a bad idea!!! Hopefully they will change the forecast again to something nicer!! Remember we are leaving the church Friday at 6:00.

Young Christians Weekend

Hey Everyone,
Young Christians Weekend is this next weekend. We are leaving the church at 6:00 Friday night, so get there a little earlier so we can get on the road. We will spend most of the day Saturday at Silver Dollar City, and as of right now the forecast is calling for sunny weather with a high of 60 in Branson. So bringing some warmer clothes still would be a good idea!! There will be lots of time to ride rides, go to workshops, and then we will be going to the concert Saturday night. We should get back to Columbia around 4 Sunday afternoon, and we will still have youth Sunday evening. It should be a great time!!

Service and Ski Trip!!

We are headed to Kansas City for the Service and Ski Trip on Febuary 21st. We are leaving from the church at 8:00 Saturday morning and won't return until around midnight. Cost for this event is $35 and then extra money will be needed for lunch and dinner. We will be painting for the first half of the day, so make sure and wear clothes you don't mind getting maybe getting paint on. This is going to be an awesome opportunity to help a church out! Everyone who wants to go needs to be signed up by Sunday Febuary 15th and needs to let us know whether they are skiing/snowboarding or tubing. You can definitely bring friends but make sure they have a permission slip. Hope to see everyone there!!

Super Bowl Party!

As most of you probably know, the Super Bowl is this Sunday Febuary 1st. We are meeting at the church at 4:30, so we can make it to the Scott's house in time for kick off. Girls bring a snack and guys bring a 2 liter bottle of soda to share. We are having pizza and subs from Kostakis pizza along with all kinds of other goodies. Bring friends and remember there is no youth Sunday night because of the party. See you then!!

Road Trip!!!

Join us on Saturday, January 17th at 7 AM for an all-day shopping trip!! Meet at the church and we'll load up the bus and head over to Kansas City. We'll go to Cabela's for a little bit and then head over to The Legends at Village West Mall. You'll need to bring money for food and anything you want to shop for. We will need a permission slip for everyone, so be sure to get one from Josh. The website for the mall is www.legendsshopping.com. There are a lot of cool stores there and there's a movie theater and bowling if you don't want to shop. Let us know if you have any questions and we'll see you at church!

New Year's Party!!

Hey Guys,
We are getting together New Year's Eve at 8:00 at the church. We will eat goodies and hang out for about a half an hour, and then head to Empire Roller Rink for some roller skating. The cost will be 7 dollars. We will skate until 11:00 then head back to church for a short service that will last until about 11:15. Hope to see you all there, and bring your friends!! It is going to be an awesome time!

VAC Family

Hey Guys,
It's getting close to the Holiday season and we have adopted a family to supply household needs for this year. You can buy one of these items or you can donate money. If you are donating money, just give it to Josh or Liz and the shopping can be done for you. The items needed by our family are pots and pans, towels, silverware, glasses, dishes, twin sheet set, king sheet set, and bed pillows. Let Josh or Liz know what you are planning on getting, so there are no duplicates. It's so awesome to supply these things for this family, and make their Christmas that much better!!

Youth Service Day

Saturday was an awesome day. We met at church at 1, and broke off in groups to go rake leaves. Leaf raking was a success with all of the leaves that had fallen. We got a ton of bags for the leaf diving competition. After meeting back at church around 4, we headed to the Price's for fun and food. Leaf Raking

Hey guys,
Saturday is our service day, and we are going to be raking leaves for people in our community who need a little help. We will be meeting at the church at 1:00, so make sure you eat lunch before you come. AFter splitting into groups, we will go to different yards and try to get as many leaves as we can for the leaf diving competition later that afternoon. We will have the leaf diving competition and dinner and games at the Price's house after leaf raking. If anyone has rakes, please bring them so we are sure to have enough for everyone. This is going to be a fun event while also helping others!! Have a good week, and see you Saturday!!

World's of Fun

We had a great time at World's of Fun earlier this month. After stopping for breakfast in Boonville at McDonald's, we were on our way to Kansas City. We got to spend a lot of time at the park just riding rides and hanging out. Then around 7 we hopped back on the bus, and headed back to Columbia after stopping for dinner. Thanks for everyone who went, and making this a fun event!!

World's of Fun

Don't forget that we will be meeting at the church at 8:00 Saturday morning to leave for World's of Fun. Bring some money for food and 20 dollars for the ticket (except for Sam Price who sold the most raffle tickets). We should be back to the church around 11:00 that night. Everyone is welcome to bring friends, but they need consent forms signed by their parents to be able to go.

Due to a lack of good apples... Huffstutters Orchard has cancelled our apple picking trip scheduled for THIS SUNDAY!

We will NOT be having lunch or going apple picking this Sunday after church. But don't forget about the Worlds of Fun trip on the 18th! Sign up soon!!

Reminders for This Weekend

Hey everyone!! Just reminding you all that we are going to pick apples after church this Sunday (October 5th). We'll have lunch right after church and then head up to New Franklin to pick some apples for the Food Bank. We'll be back to the church around 4 or 4:30. Hope to see you all there!!

Also, a reminder that anyone that wants to go to Worlds of Fun on October 18th needs to be signed up by this Sunday night (October 5th). You can leave a comment here if you want or call Josh, just make sure we have your name on the list by Sunday!

The all-church hayride is this Saturday at 6:00 PM at the Wulff's house. Come for some good food (including s'mores) and an exciting hayride. Call one of us if you need directions!

5th Quarter Lock-In

Hey Guys! Here are some pictures from the 5th Quarter Lock-In. We had an awesome time at the Providence Bowl, and then back at the church for great food and fun games! After playing outside we came inside and spent the rest of the night playing video games.

We played egg in a tube, and by looking at the faces some people couldn't handle it! Here's Josh and Corey in action. It was close, but Corey ended up winning.

Campfire Night

Here are some pictures from the Campfire Night. We had some fishing and some volleyball and I think everyone had fun! These are all pictures of volleyball. Camp Nowhere is the next event and that's coming up fast! We'll be at the Wullf's house this year and it's July 11th and 12th.
